Day 01: Arrive Colombo - Kandy (3 hrs)
You will be greeted and assisted by a representative on arrival in Colombo and prior to departure to Dambulla. On the way visit the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage which shelters more than 70 orphaned elephants and visit the Herbal Garden. Afternoon visit cave temple in Dambulla. Dambulla is a huge isolated rock mass and it was here that King Valagam Bahu took refuge in the 1st century BC. Later he converted the caves into a rock temple. Overnight in Dambulla.
Day 02: Dambulla - Kandy (2 hours)
After breakfast visit Spice Garden in Matale. For centuries, spices have been one of Sri Lanka's most famous exports. You can sample cinnamon, ginger, black pepper, vanilla, cardamom and many other aromas and flavors when visiting the Spice Garden. In the evening visit Dalada Maligai, the sacred tooth relic (Dalada) of Lord Buddha, which is the most revered object of worship for Buddhists. Later spectacular dance performance (cultural show) was witnessed. Overnight in Kandy.
Day 03: Kandy - Nuwara Eliya (2.5 hrs)
After breakfast proceed to Botanical Garden of Peradeniya. The gardens contain over 4,000 species and cultivars making it one of the best and most valuable collections in the world. Afterwards, proceed to Nuwara Eliya. Along the way visit a tea garden to watch tea pickers at work and also visit a tea factory to see the manufacturing process of the finest Ceylon tea. In the afternoon proceed for sightseeing tour of Nuwara Eliya. This beautiful town in the heart of tea-country is where the British succeeded in creating an English countryside setting with homes ranging in styles from Georgian to Queen Anne. Overnight in Nuwara Eliya.
Day 04: Nuwara Eliya - Bentota (5.5 hours)
After breakfast proceed to Bentota. On arrival, check in at your hotel. Facing the Indian Ocean, a tropical lagoon and a major river, Bentota offers water sports possibilities not found anywhere else. Apart from swimming, body-surfing or diving in the sea, you can enjoy jet-skiing, windsurfing, parasail or romantic river safaris on the river and lagoon. You can also visit the Fish Market and Turtle Hatchery. Overnight in Bentota.
Day 05: Bentota - Colombo (2 hr)
After breakfast, proceed to Colombo; Like many capitals of developing countries, it is rapidly changing its face. Almost overnight, skyscrapers rise where older buildings once stood. Yet in some parts, the old-world charm remains intact with several British-built colonial buildings, a Hindu and a Buddhist temple, residential areas where you find stately homes of the affluent, Bandaranaike Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH) – an obvious Gifts from the People's Republic of China to Sri Lanka. In the evening, you have free time for shopping; Visit House of Fashion, Odell Dress Boutique, Majestic City, Noritake Ceramic Ware Showroom and local souvenir shops. Night stay in Colombo.
Day 06: Departure
After breakfast, you have time free at leisure till it’s time to proceed to the airport for your flight back home.
